Our August monthly meeting will take place on Tuesday 10th of August 2010 at the First Edition Wine Bar - Canary Wharf from 18:30 onwards.

We will continue to distribute the new membership cards.

The 10th British 10KM London Run took place yesterday. Although the weather was overwhelmingly warm and sunny - which made the run rather difficult - the event has been a great success, with over 25,000 runners. Support for the hundreds of charities involved was strong, as groups of supporters lined the course to cheer on their runners on. Over 3 Million Sterling Pounds was raised for charities.

Although there was no new record achieved, Ruben Iindogo, a black (no surprise there!) Frenchman won the race with 29 minutes and 32 seconds, followed by Hicham Ettaichmi (Moroccan) with a time of 30:39. The first female was Getenesh Tamirat (British), finishing in a time of 35 minutes 20 seconds.

Eight of us from Turkish Bankers Running Team competed in the race. Tolgar Sirvanci (Director at Pricoa Capital) finished first in the group with 47:40, followed by Onat Tutenler (Master student at Edinburgh Business School) with 50:30 mins. Results are...
