Gonca Gursoy Artunkal is the Chairperson of Turkish Investment Banking at CITI CECEMEA. Her extensive M&A Transaction experience include: * Privatisation of Turk Telekom, TÜPRAS, TEKEL and Petrol Ofisi * Acquisition of Disbank by Fortis * Restructuring of Nokia's receivables from Telsim as part of sale of Telsim to Vodafone, * Sale of Ēimentaž to Cimentir * Acquisition of DuPont's stakes in DuSA and DuPontSA by Sabanci Holding, * Kent Gida's sale to Cadbury Schweppes * Acquisition of Grundig assets by Beko * Corporate restructuring of Isbank
Gonca Artunkal has also worked in CVCI, the Private Equity arm of Citi Group, as a Managing Director, responsible with the investments in Turkey and Middle East before joining CEEMEA Banking as the Chair
Between 2005-2007, Gonca served as the Head of Investment Banking Team in Citi as well as acting as the Senior Adviser to Turkish Investment Banking Team.
She joined Citi Group's European Equity Capital Markets Group in April 2000. While at ECM, Gonca focused on Turkey, Greece and Middle East. Between 2001 and 2005, Gonca was responsible for Citi Group's Turkish Investment Banking and Corporate Finance Business.
Before joining Citi in 2000, Gonca Artunkal was a number 2 ranked Research Analyst, covering Turkish Equities at Morgan Stanley. Prior to that she worked for Chase in Istanbul and London for 6 years focusing on Turkish and Oil & Gas M&A transactions.
Gonca Artunkal holds BA in Economics from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta - USA, MSc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from London School of Economics - UK and MBA from Bogazici University - Turkey.
Gonca Artunkal is a member of Turkish Bankers Association.
